Current Mission
Overview: USS Hiroshima responds to a planet-wide catastrophe from a familiar source. In the aftermath, however, the ship discovers something that drastically alters previous understandings about the perpetrator(s).
Synopsis: Mission in progress. Note: USS Hiroshima is also engaged in a short mission with that leads into Life Cycles.
Overview: USS Hiroshima responds to a possible attack by the Borg in the Jespia system.
Synopsis: Mission in progress (this is the joint mission portion of Life Cycles).
Past Missions
Overview: Believing that the ship's captain was cloned, replaced and kidnapped, the officers and crew of USS Hiroshima must race against time to bring him back. This unsanctioned mission is not without its risks and only time will tell if it will be a success or utter failure.
Synopsis: A plot by none other than the Obsidian Order succeeded in temporarily replacing the Captain with a clone. While he was successfully rescued, the Hiroshima was not able to recover information that the clone stole regarding Breen bio-weapon technology. Therefore, the mission was a partial success and the aftermath stemming from the mission may create problems for years to come..

Overview: The thinnest veneer can cover almost any surface, and, when scraped away, what is beneath is revealed for what it truly is. Recoiling in the aftermath of a very Rocky Road, USS Hiroshima finds herself unexpectedly re-routed to tie up some loose ends (from The Dyson Hive).
Synopsis: The crew of USS Hiroshima learns that the Breen are in the process of developing biogenic weapons, which is a threat to all powers. Taking pre-emptive action, the Hiroshima sets the development of those weapons back, only to find that all is not as it seems. The captain had been replaced by an impostor and, to make matters worse, that impostor has seized technical readouts of the biogenic weapon and has escaped, presumably to Cardassian space. A rescue may be in order...
Overview: An unenventful patrol in vicinity of Starbase 514 (see Cartography) turns nasty, when the Hirogen make a showing in the Alpha Quadrant.
Synopsis: Forcing a distress situation, the Hirogen set a lethal trap for the crew of the Hiroshima, presumably so that they could acquire some worthy relics. The ship did not escape unscathed and many valuable members of the crew and wardroom were lost.
Overview: Inexplicable sensor readings, never-before-seen phenomena and more! Only, the phenomenon had been seen before, yet was hidden from sight and memory and recently re-discovered.
Synopsis: A localized fraction of the Borg collective demonstrated the ability to mass terraform - in effect, re-creating the feared Genesis device. Along with the help of USS Kyushu, the crew managed to evade the Borg and, taking advantage of unstable conditions in that star system, successfully neutralized the Borg threat in the sector..
Overview: First Contact (actually second) with the insectoid race, called the Klak'kati. A warp-capable species, the Klak'kati reside in a dyson sphere around a previously unseen star (though its gravitic effects are visible, as the mass is present).
Synopsis: The meeting with the Klak'kati hive went well, at first, but the crew of the Hiroshima soon learned that they had been, in fact, herded (see Ice Capades synopsis) by the Breen, who'd placed a cloaked pod on one of the ship's nacelle struts. This pod replicated and distributed a lethal virus and the Hiroshima was its unwilling (and unknowning) host. Initially blamed for the outbreak, the crew of the Hiroshima successfully navigates a touchy diplomatic challenge and, while the Klak'kati Hive is closed (for the time being) to the Federation, it is not an enemy.
Overview: USS Hiroshima is far from Federation space and unable to communicate with home. Even worse, Borg activity has been detected in the vicinity. Alone and isolated, the ship must find others willing to support her efforts.
Synopsis: Unable to find help from the Breen, the isolated USS Hiroshima finds itself headed (herded?) toward an unknown danger. See more in The Dyson Hive (above)
Overview: The Hiroshima's XO is inexplicably attacked by an unseen foe. When the crew finds that the foe is a familiar one, it sheds little light on the mystery.
Synopsis: The XO had encountered a unique sentient vessel on a previous ship and it had bonded with her in a nearly inexplicable way. Using some of the same ties that a Trill symbiont makes with its host, the vessel has maintained a unique telepathic link with her, enabling her to share some of its experiences. When the vessel was attacked by the Borg, her body showed physical manifestations of that attack. USS Hiroshima journeyed through an unstable wormhole, to the alien vessel's location, and help rejuvenate the alien vessel. With the now-healed alien vessel's assistance, Hiroshima successfully fought off the Borg and began her transit toward Federation space.
Overview: After a brief stop on Risa, USS Hiroshima is called away to deal with an impending diplomatic crisis near the Romulan Neutral Zone. Due to its orbit entering the Romulan Neutral Zone for a portion of the year, the Denarus IV Colony has been a thorn in the side of Romulan-Federation relations for many years. Sent to relocate the colony, USS Hiroshima finds a populace unwilling to leave their home.
Synopsis: Once the desires of the Federation citizens of Denarus IV are known, the crew of the Hiroshima brokers a deal that enables the colony to remain, while simultaneously assuaging Romulan concerns with what had been, up to now, a provocative Federation presence.
Overview: Upon successful completion of the previous mission, Chaos, the crew of USS Hiroshima is enjoying some well-earned liberty on Risa.
Synopsis: The visit to Risa culminated with the arrival of several new personnel and the transfer of the LCDR Mikayla Kayes to USS Kyushu.
Overview: The USS Hiroshima is responding to a distress call from the New Moscow colony. Once there, it becomes clear that all is not as it seems...
Synopsis: New Moscow colony was hit by a series of tectonic plate shifts, accompanied by severe climactic changes, seeming to require immediate evacuation of all hands. Once on scene, the crew of USS Hiroshima determined that the catastrophe was caused by sentient life forms - in this case, two Ferengi and a Romulan scientist. Further investigation showed this to be an illegal and immoral attempt to exploit materials in the planet's core. Hiroshima apprehended the criminals and saw to re-stabilization of the planet.
