Iskander Nassir al Khalid : (Flight Control Officer) - 1.83m/80kg. Swarthy complexion with black hair and dark brown eyes. Solid build, muscular without seeming stocky or over-built. Features tend to be on the angular side with narrow eyes, long, angular nose, and sharply cut mouth. Iskander is a man who possesses a solid faith in what he feels is right; if the world fails to agree with him, he will not waste time arguing, but will take the steps he feels are necessary to accomplish what needs doing. In the past Iskander has been known as a brash, confident fighter and pilot in his service to Starfleet. Though frequently reprimanded for taking unnecessary risks, he has never failed to earn the grudging respect of his superiors. A grand part of his appeal has been his ability to graciously accept any punishments – even loss of rank – with no protest.

Neil Graves: (Flight Control Officer) - A footballer from his earliest days, Neil is a lean young man of middle-height and high physical endurance. Perfectly suited to running tirelessly across the soccer field on his free time, Neil's childhood passion for flight has led him to maintaining a trim form even after leaving the game behind.
Height/Weight: 5'10"/160 lbs History: As the youngest of three, Neil has, for the most part, known the life of a typical human child. His father was an architect and his mother a home-maker, though their 'home' tended to move from place to place over the years - to the point that Neil is not quite sure just 'where' he comes from. He associates with Australia and South Africa, though there were stints in North America, Europe, and even - for a few short months - Luna colony. |

Through it all, Neil remained a cheerful, easy-going child. While not the first in his class, he was generally in the upper achievement levels of his grades - his passions leaning towards history and mathematics. He proved more than competent in sports - especially soccer, as the variety of trophies and commendations should prove- but if asked his true passion, that lay in the skies.
Though his father's family was as Human as one could get, on his mother's side Neil was a quarter Betazoid. Through this inheritance he picked up a degree of empathic ability, though telepathy proved beyond his ken. This never bothered the boy - if anything it gave him a bit of an edge on the dating scene. Though he never pushed to go 'all the way', Neil was never wanting for a date.
Neil's love of flight came from his maternal Grandfather. A test-pilot for both Starfleet vessels as well as private ventures, Anton Haddix would often be found with his young grandson tagging along. Though age retired him from the more dangerous activities, There were still plenty of opportunities to try out new shuttle designs, or to watch demonstrations. by time he was 13, Neil had co-piloted his first shuttle. It was no surprise that - except, perhaps to his coaches - upon graduating Highschool, Neil applied to the Flight program of Starfleet Academy.
Genevieve "Jenny" Hanmore: (Flight Control Officer) - 5'5", 125#. Now at age 25, Jenny has been flying small craft for her entire life. Entering races at the earliest point she could, she has been winning trophies since she was fifteen. A bit temperamental, when at the controls of smaller craft, she's smooth as silk. This talent doesn't quite translate to the control of larger vessels, so she's a rather average capital ship helmsman.

Among the challenges that she works with, Jenny is very tempestuous and can be extremely impatient. However, these characteristics are mitigated by her loyalty, dedication and courage.
Andrew "Drew" DeFalco: (Flight Control Officer) - 5’10”, 185 lbs, Black/brown hair and eyes. Drew was born 2346 to Sicilian parents on earth. A love for computers and a personal calling to see the universe drew him into the skies, assisting on various merchant flights as a part time Engineer and pilot. The onset of the Dominion wars led Drew to shift gears, realizing his skills could be put to better use. Entering the ranks as a Petty Officer, he slowly worked himself up to Chief Petty Officer months before he was transferred to the USS Hiroshima.

Tanya Charlesworth: (Chief Operations Officer) - Human female, age 24 terran years. Description: 5'7" and 120#, she is slender and graceful. Her hair is a bit wild at times, but she carries herself quite well in spite of it. Usually with a smile on her face, she is rather approachable.

Background: Little is known about her background, to date. She is a very capable officer with a strong engineering background. She finished department head qualifications on her first assignment (USS Kyushu) and opted to broaden her horizons on her follow-on assignment by shifting to the Operations subspecialty for a tour. Additionally, she is very conscious of people and is a good friend to anybody that lets her be.
Peter Rochfort: (Warp Systems Specialist) - Human male, born 2352, 5’10’’, brown hair, brown eyes. Entered Starfleet Academy 2370 and graduated 2374; transferred to the USS Hiroshima late 2379. An only child, Rochfort did well in school in most subjects but favoured mathematics and the sciences. Upon applying to and entering Starfleet Academy, he majored for three years in Science before an encounter with a faulty shuttlepod prompted him to switch to Engineering. As such, it took him slightly longer than usual to come to terms with any of his following ship assignments until his brief tour of duty at Utopia Planitia.
Fzen: (General Engineer) - Zakdorn - Extremely blunt about his thoughts and lacking in civility like all of his people, Fzen is hard working and highly competent at electrical and structural engineering. The stocky 5'10 Zackdorn enjoys his work as well as a good game of 3-Dimensional Chess.
Vorak: (Impulse Systems Specialist) - Vulcan male, born 2289, 6’0’’, black hair, gray eyes. Employed as a technical researcher by the Vulcan Science Institute for 37 years. Enlisted 2349, transferred to the USS Hiroshima late 2379. Knowledgeable, calm, logical and patriarchal to his engineers. Little of Vorak’s past is incongruous with the experiences of most Vulcans. He is noteworthy, however, for joining the Vulcan Science Institute at a relatively young age. There, he conducted himself well and performed his duties diligently but gradually came to feel that Starfleet would offer him better opportunities to explore his field of expertise. He enlisted and served on various ships, earning sufficient merit to transfer to the new Starfleet shuttlecraft construction installation on Daltan Syrius in 2375.
Roger Parkinson: (General Maintenance) - Human male, born 2348, 5’11’’, black hair, brown eyes. Enlisted 2364. Resigned from the USS Cruz 2369. Returned to active service 2373 at Utopia Planitia. Transferred to the USS Hiroshima late 2379. Austere sense of humour, calm voice, hard to rattle, works well with P.O.3 Shirat. Coming from a small family background on an outlying colony world, Parkinson joined Starfleet, the only viable alternative for a youth on his world with skills at the time. He spent five years transferring between ships before resigning and spent the next four and a half years making his living as a maintenance foreman on Jar’s Planet. He returned to active duty during the Dominion War but never made it to the front lines until 2377 when he was transferred from Utopia Planitia. Distinctly dislikes the use of his forename, preferring ‘Parkinson’.
Remgar: (Warp Core Specialist) - Andorian male, born 2350, 5’8’’, white hair, blue eyes. Served for several years with the Andorian defence forces. Enlisted 2372 and transferred to Utopia Planitia 2375. Transferred to the USS Hiroshima late 2379. Sharp wit, prefers scathing comments, likes appearing mischievous. Remgar, like his brothers and sisters, joined the Andorian defence forces at a young age and excelled during his time there, but accepted a request from his uncle to apply to Starfleet. He served well during the Dominion War but was transferred to Utopia Planitia after the destruction of the USS Turpitz with the loss of three hundred lives. Continued to advance himself in his chosen field, installing warp cores in runabouts and shuttles. And he no longer tries to hit people for calling him Regmar instead of Remgar.
Terry Grayman: (General Operations) - Human male. Born 2350. 6’1’’, light brown hair, brown eyes. Enlisted 2373, transferred to the USS Hiroshima 2378. Calm, reassured, competent, innovative, easy commander. Grayman comes from a long line of Starfleet engineers, dating back as far as 2205 with only a handful of interruptions to the lineage. As such, it was almost inconceivable for him not to enlist, although he was prompted by some to try out for the Academy. He enjoys his work and takes pride in the smooth running of the department, clearly willing to lend a hand in every area to ensure his colleagues succeed in whatever they are doing.
Shirat: (Power Systems Engineer) - Bajoran female. Born 2355, 5’8’’, blonde hair, brown eyes. Fought with the Bajoran militia for two years before the Cardassian withdrawal. Enlisted 2371, transferred to Jupiter Station 2374, transferred to the USS Hiroshima late 2379. Quiet, sometimes intent, follows orders exceptionally well, works well with P.O.1 Parkinson. Never knowing her family name, Shirat spent her formative years on the Delkor II mining colony in Cardassian space before being shipped to Bajor in 2368, shortly after which she joined a Bajoran military cell. She was never an able combatant but proved herself a gifted engineer, acting in support of raids. She even learned to construct and deconstruct some of the simpler explosive designs then employed by the Bajorans. She joined Starfleet at her earliest opportunity and re-educated her skills for other purposes.
Buerik: (General Maintenance) - Bolian male, born 2355, 5’8’’, blue eyes, slightly bulky. Worked aboard his cousin’s freighter for four years. Enlisted 2375, assigned to Utopia Planitia 2376, transferred to the USS Hiroshima late 2379. Quirky but his close friendship with P.O.2 Remgar and P.O.1 Parkinson has diluted some of his more ‘Bolian’ traits, humorous but ill-suited to witticisms, decries his work but actually takes great pride in it. Buerik’s family wanted him to become a great space captain and practically physically forced him into that role by signing on as first mate with his cousin at the age of 16. He did not, however, rejoice in this role and, more often than not, found he was spending more time fixing the ship’s systems than giving commands. His cousin supported his decision to join Starfleet even if the rest of his family was less than happy. Ever since, Buerik has openly belittled the work he currently does but, as his friends know, his comments are good natured and rarely truthful.
Bertie Valanti: (Sensor System Specialist) - Human male, born 2359, 6’0’’, blonde hair, brown eyes, quite pale. Enlisted 2376, transferred from the USS Augustus for undisclosed reasons 2377. Quite naïve, often seems fuddled, unsure of himself, guileless, waning enthusiasm. The youngest child of six, Alberto ‘Bertie’ Valanti decided to make a break from the humdrum of his family life and escape to the great adventure that was Starfleet. Enlistment dissuaded him of many of his rose-tinted preconceptions but he persevered regardless. His superior officer on the USS Augustus was less than pleased with this latest recruit and endeavoured to have him transferred to elsewhere, but it was on that next posting that Valanti’s gift with sensor systems came to the fore. While he is rarely trusted with many technical tasks for fear he will somehow inflict catastrophic damage, he is practically allowed a free hand with the Hiroshima’s scanners.
Tamara Lincoln: (Security Officer) - Tamara Lincoln is an experienced tactician and is more at home on the Bridge than in her alternate security role. She has served with distinction in no fewer than ten capital ship engagements and her skills are second only to her department head in that respect.

Gavin McWest: (Security Officer) -

Age: 22, born 2362
Place of Birth: Jake Prairie, Missouri, Earth
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Height: 6 ft
Weight: 190 lbs
Hair: brown
Eyes: hazel
Growing up in the midwest portion of the north american continent on Earth, Gavin is about as red-blooded "All-American" as you can get. Farm boy, played highschool football, raced ancient "hot rod" automobiles with his friends, and patriotic to his planet almost to a fault. He joined Starfleet the second he was old enough, even though all the trouble brewing with the Dominion was long over by then. Intending to join the enlisted ranks, he got a surprise and timely recommendation to the Academy from his Uncle, Commander Thomas McWest, who Gavin had always looked up to, but had never really gotten to know since Uncle Thomas was always out gallevanting out there somewhere in the stars.
Gavin is very well suited to his chosen Security field. He has a talent and eagerness for rectifying wrongs and upholding the principles of law and Justice. The Hiroshima is Gavin's first posting, and he is excited and proud to be a part of the crew of such a fine ship.
Jefferson Hambly: (Security Officer) - At age 42, CWO Hambly has seen a lot during his twenty-four years of service. Enlisting at age eighteen, he served for nearly twelve years, reaching the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. At that point, he'd been selected to train aspiring Starfleet officers at Starfleet Academy. There, he met a Starfleet Lieutenant, one Sharise Mills, who was finishing her obligated service with plans to move onto a different career. The couple fell in love, married and had two children, Anita and Kevin.
After leaving the Academy, Jefferson transferred to Deep Space Station Five, where he served for a period of time. Unfortunately, during that tour, Kevin became critically ill and did not survive. While that loss is still felt, they overcame -proabably in large part due to their shared Christian faith- and Sharise conceived soon after.

Anita, on the other hand, is alive and well. At eleven, she is a tennis phenomenon and hopes to, one day, become a star.

Age: 27
Race: Akaavian
Homeworld: Aki'kaavi
Height: 5' 11"
Weight: 95 lbs
Appearance: Owl-like, hooked beak, brown feathering, speckled tan and white on his chest. White down.
Eyes: Brown, large eyes.
Strengths: Acute eyesight and the ability to fly (when unencumbered by uniform)
Background:
Aratre hatched as one of eight chicks on the planet Aki'kaavi, (sister planet to Aki'kaari). Always the adventuresome chick of the brood, (examples of this include him having the honor of being the first to fledge from his clutch,) it was accepted early on that Aratre would forge his own path in life rather than follow the traditional Akaavian pattern. When the Federation made first contact with Aki'kaavi and Aki'kaari, Aratre's Great Uncle (twice removed) Gyrcla, a member of the Ruling Hierarchy's Inner Circle made quick use of newly formed connections within Starfleet, and Aratre was recommended to the Academy as one of ten select Akaavians to enter.
Keenly intelligent and very observant, Aratre has a knack for remembering odd facts and minutia, a gift that has proven valuable in the Security/Tactical field. The Hiroshima is his first posting. He graduated the Academy along with Ensign Gavin McWest, and while they met there, were fortunate enough to be assigned to the same ship. They have since become fast friends.
Hugh Miller: (Science Officer) - Human male, 1.80m, hazelnut hair
Hugh was born on Earth and started studies in cosmology and warp physics in New York. Soon afterwards, he realized that he was not made for a great academic career, as he was not interested in becoming an idiot savant, specialized on a tiny topic. So after his exams, he joined Starfleet. Hugh is a very reliable officer with a broad knowledge, who lives for his work and frequently pulls extra-shifts. Instead of building up great theories, he has the ability to come up with simple and practical solutions, a seldom talent among scientists. Already knowing Jean-Pierre LaSalle from his studies in New York, Hugh and Jean-Pierre became good friends onboard the Hiroshima.
Vanya Chrios: (Medical Officer) -
Unjoined Trill Female, born in 2360. Vanya stands 1.63 m. and weighs 56.5 km. A native of Trill, Vanya served her first tour of duty out of Academy on the USS Acamar before she was transferred to the USS Hiroshima in 2383.
Daughter and grand-daughter of physicians, the one thing that sets Vanya apart from her family is the direction her medical training took her - namely, out of the private sector and into Starfleet. There were concerns, of course, that the fleet would prove too much for the sweet, bubbly Vanya; but time has proven her relatives wrong. If anything, Vanya thrives on the action and constant motion - if she feels a little fear when going into dangerous situations, well it's just a good taste of what her patients are experiencing and more motivation to help them in whatever way she can manage.
Hammilton Mulcahey: (Medical Officer) - Human Male, born in 2350 on planet Earth. Hammilton - or Hamm, as he is often called - is a bit on the stocky side, measuring in at 1.78m and 80km. Nevertheless he has strength and stamina to spare; a rugby enthusiast in his school days, Hamm managed to break the mold of his crowd by actually taking the steps to apply for - and be accepted into medical school. While his marks might not have been the highest in the class, neither were they the lowest. Knowing full well the pain of injuries - he'd suffered a good few in his day - Hamm had an innate sense of just how much a patient could really ta ke before enough was enough.
He graduated into the height of the Dominion war, ignoring his family's pleas for finding a nice, safe career, and instead throwing his lot in with Starfleet. Enlisting with his black robes still flapping, Hamm signed onto the first ship that would take him and rode into the thick of things. Luck and a hefty dose of common sense saw the young medic through the fire and earned him a solid reputation that has continued to follow him through his days - and it was that reputation that landed him a comfortable position within the medical department of the USS Hiroshima.

Bellamy Flut: (Chief Counselor) -
Height: 4' 7"
Weight: 72 lbs.
Eye Color: Dark Blue
Hair Color: Brunette
Physical Description: Bellamy carries herself with an unusual confidence that belies her childish stature and years. With long straight brown hair and penetrating deep blue eyes, she is a hard child to ignore. A tad on the short and skinny end of the scale for children her age, she more than makes up for it in a quirky, spitfire attitude.
Race: Genton. Known as a multi-reincarnational race, the Genton mental "lifespan" exists over some five physical lives. Bellamy Flut has already lived two previous lives.
Strengths & Weaknesses: Obviously, being an old mind in a child's body is a huge weakness in her field. Many feel uncomfortable revealing more mature aspects of themselves in a counseling setting when they feel they are speaking to a mere child. Once that barrier is broken, she excels at what she does. Having witnessed, if not experienced many similar situations herself gives a new dimension to her counselling and "human" nature.
Ambitions: To help others the best way she can for the rest of her life. To use her years wisely, in order to best be able to draw from her experiences for her future reincarnations.
Hobbies & Interests: Bellamy enjoys singing, swimming, dancing and gymnastics. She loves playgrounds, wide open fields with lots of running room, and animals, particularly cats and horses.

Race: Ivorian Gender: Female Birth Date: 2382 Birth Place: Ivor III Height/Weight: 0.73 m/9 kg Hair/Eyes: Ginger/Grey-Blue Parents: Collin and Valerie Criller - both deceased Guardian: Johara Noor |
Background:
Toby is a lively child - bright and creative, if a bit over inquisitive at times - while Gina is a true doll with her twinkling eyes and gamine smile. They are still young, but both have seen more tragedy in their abbreviated years than most adults could imagine surviving. Born on Ivor to Collin and Valerie Criller, they lost their father to the Ivorian/Jouretian Civil war just weeks after Gina's birth. Though only six at the time, Toby took the loss hard, and strove to the "man of the family" for his mother and infant sister.
They survived on Ivor, barely getting by as Collin's family refused to acknowledge the children as family, until the chance came to escape with the refugee caravans. Taking her little ones, Valerie jumped ship for DS5 - and for hopes of a better chance at the future. Hopes, unfortunately, which were crushed within days of arriving. Caught in the middle of the tensions raging through the refugee "camps", Valerie was brutally assaulted - and then murdered - leaving Toby and Gina orphaned.
As head counselor of the station at that time, Johara took on the care of the children until family could be found. It didn't take long for her to become deeply attached to the pair. When her inquiries finally were answered, it was obvious to all that Johara was hooked. A matter which turned out to the benefit of all as their cousin - the children saw him as Uncle Musa - admitted that his merchant career did not make for a stable home for children. Johara was given legal joint custody of the children - alongside Musa.
A few weeks later the station was threatened by an invading force just light-years away. Torn by duty to her post and the need to protect her new family, Johara was blessed by a call from home - her cousin was requesting her presence. With her Commanding Officers blessing, Johara packed up her things - and her children - and with Musa's assistance made the journey back to earth.
