Lieutenant Commander Adrianna Maye Darney
Chief Medical Officer
| Name: Adrianna Maye Darney Species: Human Gender: Female Age: 32 Height: 5' 7" Eye Color: Blue Hair Color: Chestnut Appearance: Adrianna is quite attractive. She takes pride in her physical condition and it shows, as she's a tad on the muscular-side of feminine. Though she is of average height, she is built athletically. She normally wears her long straight hair pulled back from her face in an unflattering low ponytail. She is usually watching her feet when she walks, and rarely makes direct eye contact. |

| Personality: Shy to a fault, Adrianna is quite happy to be a loner. Though gifted intellectually, she is very insecure in social situations, and prefers to avoid them entirely as she is always worried about saying the wrong things and being misunderstood. Oftentimes she gets so absorbed in her work or thoughts that she tends to unintentionally tune others out. This has given her a few nasty nicknames as she's seen as being arrogant and aloof, but in reality, she's nothing of the sort. |

Strengths/Weaknesses: Adrianna is very competitive when it comes to her work. This can usually be both a strength and a weakness, depending on the situation. She also has a strong perfectionistic streak, but can never quite live up to her own standards... thus her insecurity. She has a passionate love for xenobiology, and has excelled both academically and professionally in that field. Along the way, she has also developed a strong interest in forensic pathology, and has provided essential assistance to security teams in several instances. Family History:

However, after her mother passed away when Adrianna was only ten, (from an unexplained illness purportedly contracted from one of the passing exploratory vessels), Adrianna 's interest in pathology began... a seemingly morbid fascination with death, and the elements that cause it. Adrianna devoured any medical text she could get her hands on, even to the point of visiting ships coming in for repairs and "interviewing" whatever medical officers would put up with being questioned by a mere child. That year Adrianna was also awarded the Patterson Award for her work with a patient, Lieutenant Commander Tommy Robertson who presented with an "untreatable" infection of bioneural gel throughout his system. He was brought from the cusp of death to full health through a series of unprecedented innovative treatment solutions. |
